NQcast31 – A Row of Assassins

• Saints Row The Third (Open world insanity rules! And we do mean INSANITY. Chuck sells everyone on this game within the first 5 minutes of talking about it.)
• Assassin’s Creed Revelations ((Maki brings back the sighcast by giving his laundry list of disappointments in this weak entry in the series. You even get off the skateboard!)
• Skyrim (Harlo gives our initial entry in Tales of Skyrim™. We find out how pimpin’ ain’t easy, how Lydia silently judges you, and how dragon littering is a fineable offense. This all reminds us why we are all dying to play this game!)

• Need For Speed: The Run (An awesome premise is undone a bit by quick time events and lack of replayability. And unlocking physics. Yes, we said that right. Unlocking PHYSICS.)
• Forza Motorsport 4 (Speed round (GET IT?) is instituted and Harlo joins BJ and Maki in the fun. Also, fuck that steering wheel thing.)
• Burnout Paradise (All of us suck Chuck into the fun of challenges, and we decide you all need to buy 360 copies and play with us.)
• X-Men Arcade (Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! Nerf Colossus!)
• DJ Hero 2 (Talk of the peripherals leads to talk of achievement value and whether or not developers hate gamers since the achievements in this one are idiotic.)
• Super Meat Boy (Harlo rages against this machine, while Maki enjoys it a lot. No, they don’t kill each other. This episode.)
• Rayman Origins (Maki recommends this beautiful side scroller, but only in limited doses at a time.)
• Dark Souls (BJ compares it to heroin. But in a good way! We think?)
• Red Orchestra 2 (Listener Andrew sends us a copy and BJ gives it a shot. And gets shot. Lots.)
• WWE 12 (We school Chuck on Sheamus and other modern wrestlers. Kind of. We also learn that some matches, even if you win, you lose. Which sucks.)
• Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Chuck changes his mind and ends up really liking this game, in spite of the outsourced boss battles.)

• MusiM asks “How many games that you want to play does a console have to have on it before it becomes attractive enough to purchase? Also have any of you ever bought any past consoles based solely on the company producing them without any consideration as to games released for the system?” (This leads to a ton of discussion of features on all the current consoles and which historic ones were timed at the right time. Also, we predict the future. Honest.)
