Greetings! No Quarters is back for another episode, featuring video games! Games such as Far Cry Primal, The Division, Galak-Z, Broforce, The Walking Dead: Michonne, and even Burnout Paradise. You should listen, because you don’t have anything better to do, right? Right!

First half!

  • 1:24 Far Cry Primal (Chuck and Harlo take their puka shell necklaces into the wild as they stab many an animal and caveman in the face with a spear.)
  • 20:02 Tom Clancy’s The Division (Harlo gets a copy free with his keyboard but likes the keyboard more than this Call of Duty-ish MMO which he’s mostly had to play solo.)
  • 30:00 Telltale corner!
    • 30:02 Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 1 (Harlo loves the story, hates the gameplay and engine. Also, he accidentally kills Loaderbot because of the silly controls and hates himself for it.)
    • 35:54 The Walking Dead: Michonne: Episode 1 (Chuck enjoys this story more as we learn about post-apocalyptic pirates and discuss underwater zombie prevention.)
  • 41:08 Playstation Plus Corner!
    • 41:15 Broforce (We all play this side-scrolling love-letter to everything ‘80s, with varying results. At least most of us can agree that Broguyver sucks.)
    • 53:51 Galak-Z (Maki and Chuck can’t shoot in this Asteroids-type anime shooter, and also get the PC controls on the PS4. Those feel like problems.)
  • 1:00:50 The Witness (Maki attempts The Challenge, to varying results. Check out the Challenge Run mentioned in the episode to feel his pain.)
  • 1:14:23 VR discussion! (We probably aren’t getting any of them! Check back on this in a year to see how wrong we were about that! Well, if some of us get our astigmatism corrected.)

Second Half! (1:18:40)

  • 1:19:03 Kona (Harlo accesses this adventure/exploration game early and likes what he sees.)
  • 1:27:46 Ori and the Blind Forest (Maki checks out the Definitive Edition and gets some new achievements and an easy mode! Which it needs, because sections of this game can go to hell.)
  • 1:34:12 Deadpool (Harlo finds this in his Steam library and realizes it’s the goofy, jokey kind of B-tier game we tend to love.)
  • 1:39:59 Amplitude PS4 (Maki lives the dream of the PS2 with this PS2-ass game on the PS4.)
  • 1:46:23 Mad Max (Maki has a platinum trophy in this game! You’d better love this world if you want to do this.)
  • 1:50:55 Battlefront (BJ is now a Twilek Shadow Trooper because he hit the level cap. He’s the king of SPACE!)
  • 1:53:53 Burnout Paradise (Errant Signal’s fantastic video essay leads to us playing the crap out of Burnout Paradise. Again. We love this game and everyone should play it.)
  • 2:18:01 Diablo 3 (Harlo and Maki have almost maxed themselves out on this game. They’ve been Tormented by it almost too much.)
